Clear Expectations.
Better Experiences.
Welcome to Bonniez International Driving School. To ensure the highest level of safety and quality for all students, we maintain the following policies. Please review these clear expectations to help make your driving journey a better experience.
01
Registration & Payments
Payment for individual driving lessons is due no later than 11:59 p.m. on the calendar day the lesson is completed.
Students may pay anytime between receiving their appointment confirmation, typically the evening before, and the end of their scheduled lesson day.
Prepaid packages may have separate payment arrangements communicated before purchase.
All outstanding balances and applicable fees must be paid in full before another lesson can be scheduled or conducted, unless the school has approved an alternative arrangement.
02
Scheduling Lessons
Lessons are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to instructor availability.
Students and families will generally receive an appointment confirmation the evening before their scheduled lesson.
To schedule, cancel, or reschedule an appointment, please contact our office directly by phone or text message.
We appreciate prompt communication so we can coordinate appointments efficiently for all students.
03
Instructor Arrival Times & Unexpected Delays
At Bonniez International Driving School, we take pride in providing personalized, student-centered instruction.
While our instructors make every reasonable effort to arrive at scheduled appointments on time, occasional delays may occur due to traffic conditions, travel between student locations, DMV appointments, or unexpected circumstances.
Because we are a student-focused business, there may also be occasions when an instructor needs additional time to safely conclude a previous student's appointment or address an important concern.
We believe every student deserves patience, care, and individualized attention.
Just as we may occasionally need a few additional minutes to ensure a previous student is properly taken care of, we will extend that same consideration and dedication to your instructional experience.
These delays are not routine, and we strive to maintain reliable schedules.
If a delay occurs, your instructor will make reasonable efforts to notify you promptly and provide an updated estimated arrival time.
Students will receive their full purchased instructional time. If an unexpected delay prevents us from completing the scheduled lesson, appropriate arrangements will be made to provide the remaining time.
We appreciate your patience, understanding, and flexibility.
04
Instructor Assignments
Students may request their preferred instructor, but assignments depend on availability. Bonniez International Driving School will make reasonable efforts to accommodate preferences, though instructor changes may occasionally be necessary due to scheduling requirements or unforeseen circumstances.
05
Cancellation & Rescheduling
Students must provide at least 24 hours' notice when canceling or rescheduling an appointment.
Appointments canceled with at least 24 hours' notice may be rescheduled without a cancellation charge.
Appointments canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours' notice are subject to a $35 late-cancellation fee.
We understand that emergencies, sudden illness, and unexpected circumstances can occur. These situations will be reviewed individually, and exceptions may be made when reasonable.
06
Learner's Permit Requirement
Students must possess a valid California Provisional Permit or Adult Learner's Permit to participate in behind-the-wheel instruction. The original permit must be physically present for every lesson; photocopies or digital images are not legally sufficient.
07
Student Preparation
Students should be ready and available for pickup approximately 5–10 minutes before their scheduled lesson time.
Students should be well-rested and wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes that allow safe and precise control of the pedals. Sandals, flip-flops, or any footwear that could interfere with driving are strongly discouraged.
Please bring your valid permit or license and any required documents to each lesson.
If you are running late or cannot locate your instructor, contact our office or your instructor as soon as possible so we can assist.
08
Safety First Policy
Instructors reserve the right to terminate any lesson immediately if a student is found to be under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication that impairs driving, or if the student's behavior poses a significant safety risk. Termination for safety reasons results in forfeiture of the lesson fee.
09
Vehicle, Insurance & Safety
Driving instruction is provided in properly insured, dual-control school vehicles that meet California safety and insurance requirements. While we maintain appropriate coverage for instructional use, we do not guarantee unlimited or comprehensive protection against all possible losses. Students and families are encouraged to maintain their own appropriate insurance coverage as required by law.
10
Teen 6-Hour Requirement
For students under 18, we provide the DMV-mandated Certificate of Completion of Behind-the-Wheel Training (DL 400D) upon successful completion of the required six hours of instruction. This certificate is required by the California DMV before a minor may take the behind-the-wheel driving test.
11
Late Payments
Balances remaining unpaid after the lesson date are considered overdue.
A one-time $10 late-payment fee will apply if the balance remains unpaid seven full calendar days after its original due date, subject to applicable law.
This is not a recurring daily charge.
Outstanding balances, including applicable cancellation fees, no-show fees, and late-payment charges, must be resolved before further lessons can be scheduled or conducted.
Alternative arrangements may be approved at the school's discretion.
12
No-Show Policy
Students who fail to attend a confirmed appointment without providing notice may be assessed a $50 no-call, no-show fee.
Our instructors will make reasonable attempts to contact the student.
If the student remains unavailable 15 minutes after the scheduled appointment time, the appointment may be classified as a no-call, no-show.
A $35 late-cancellation fee and $50 no-show fee must never be charged together for the same appointment.
Missed appointments do not count toward completed instructional hours.
13
Refunds & Service Adjustments
Payments for completed driving lessons and instructional services are generally nonrefundable, except where refunds are required by applicable law.
We are committed to addressing legitimate concerns and ensuring students receive the services they purchase.
Depending on the circumstances, reasonable solutions may include rescheduling, changing instructors, additional guidance, or a school-approved account credit.
Complimentary replacement lessons, additional instructional hours, and account credits are not guaranteed.
Students are not automatically entitled to repeat completed lessons because they prefer a different teaching style or require additional practice.
Any complimentary services must receive approval from Bonniez International Driving School.
Unused prepaid services and situations where the school cannot fulfill purchased services remain subject to applicable refund requirements.
Bonniez International Driving School reserves the right to postpone, interrupt, or discontinue services when students violate school policies or create unreasonable safety or conduct concerns. Any legally required refunds or adjustments for unused prepaid services will be handled in accordance with applicable requirements.
14
Professional Conduct
We maintain a respectful and professional environment for all students, families, and instructors.
Bonniez International Driving School may postpone, interrupt, or discontinue services when serious misconduct, safety concerns, or repeated policy violations occur.
When services are adjusted or discontinued, any refunds or credits for unused prepaid instruction will be handled consistently with our Refunds & Service Adjustments policy and applicable legal requirements.
Important Policy Notice: These policies establish general expectations for Bonniez International Driving School. Applicable laws and any specifically agreed enrollment terms take precedence where required. Fees and policies are subject to applicable law. Policy updates will be communicated as appropriate and will not retroactively impose new charges.
